00800	Dear Mr. McClure:
00900
01000 Mr. Russel Noftsker of M.I.T. has asked me to send you data
01100	regarding the arm I have designed for them. Enclosed, you will find
01200	a brief preliminary data sheet. This arm will be for sale by VICARM,
01300	a new company I have started, which manufactures robots and
01400	manipulators. A larger arm also exists- called the Stanford Arm, this
01500	device has been in use for over 3 years now and has been replicated
01600	by several other groups. It is also computer controlled, has a 10
01700	lb. load capability, 2 sec. max. servo time, and about a 40 inch
01800	reach. Instead of an elbow, a prismatic joint is used. All 6 degrees
01900	of freedom and the hand are d.c. servo motor powered. The Stanford
02000	Arm is also now a production item, available thru VICARM.
02100
02200 I hope this is the information you are after. If not, let me
02300	know.
02400
02500
02600 Sincerely,
